How to do a Shared Reading with Print References with Dr. Mesmer

The following video provides guidance on how to conduct a shared reading lesson. It can be used to support the development of effective instructional strategies through professional learning opportunities. During this activity, the students are not doing the reading. The teacher is decoding. At the invitation of the teacher, students “help” the teacher start words using their knowledge of initial letter sounds.
