Guide and Checklists for a School Leader’s Walkthrough during Literacy Instruction in Grades 4-12

The following tool provides a guide and checklists for observing specific research-based practices during literacy instruction in grade 4–12 classrooms and students’ independent use or application of those practices. It can be used to conduct walk-throughs of different grade levels and classes throughout the school year and to facilitate conversation before and after the walk-through.
