Foundational Skills to Support Reading for Understanding in Kindergarten Through 3rd Grade

The following video provides four recommendations for teaching foundational reading skills to students in grades K–3, with a summary of the evidence base, implementation steps and solutions for common obstacles. It can be used to support implementation of evidence-based practices for foundational reading.
